Our next meeting will be Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 7 pm in the Band/Orchestra room at Bonnie Branch Middle School. What do the Music Boosters do?? We help pay for the music uniforms. We create opportunities for students to perform outside of school. We host a picnic at the end of the year. We purchased a sound system used in the Chorus concerts. We bring professional musicians to school to work with your students. We create extra opportunities for students to perform in school. We maintain this website. We contact parents before concerts, helping to offload some of the work from the music teachers. We write the Music News in the Bonnie Branch weekly email newsletter. We apply for grants. We have been helping the music programs at Bonnie Branch since the fall of 2008. The band, orchestra, and chorus programs have grown tremendously since we began. We have many more students participating in the Solo and Ensemble Fair; and many students achieved high ratings! We have 2 jazz bands now. Parents working together with our outstanding music directors have made all of this possible. Above all, we try to make music fun for students so that they will love it and continue to make it a part of their life... forever. Encouraging middle school students to participate and continue in music is a great way to volunteer. Join the Boosters -- You will be amazed at how satisfying and fun it really is. NOTE: whether you volunteer behind the scenes or on concert nights, all volunteers receive reserved seating at concerts. |
