Application Deadlines and Audition Dates for 2014-2015 County Ensembles:

Howard County Middle School GT/Honors Symphonic Band: Auditions on Sept. 30, 2014.  Each student that applied should have already received their audition time and location from Mr. Humphrey.  If you do not know your audition time, email Mr. Humphrey.
 
Howard County Middle School GT Chorus: Check with Mr. Rainey as soon as possible.

Maryland Junior All State Band Application Deadline: October 3, 
2014 Contact Mr. Humphrey by Sept. 30, 2014 if interested

Maryland Junior All State Orchestra Application Deadline: October 3, 2014 Contact Mrs. Haight by Sept. 30, 2014 if interested

Maryland Junior All State Chorus Application Deadline: Contact Mr. Rainey as soon as possible if interested
Encore Music Association Band and Orchestra

The Encore Community Music Association provides students an opportunity to perform in a year-long Band or Orchestra without the pressure of auditioning. 

Here are some quick details, but check their website for more:

  • They meet every Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. 
  • Middle School students would participate in the "Community Chamber Orchestra" or the "Community Band."  These two ensembles also practice together every week for the first half-hour, so that students experience performing in a "full orchestra."
  • Adults can also join either group.
  • Some Bonnie Branch students are joining this year.  If you need a ride, contact the Music Boosters.
